1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1786
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1786, by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 1. In addition to any sums already appropriated
5 to the Illinois Arts Council, the following sums, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
7 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the
8 Illinois Arts Council to enhance the cultural environment in
9 Illinois:
10 Payable from the General Revenue Fund:
11 For Grants and Financial Assistance
12 for Arts Organizations .................... $1,046,350
13 For Grants and Financial Assistance
14 for Special Constituencies ................ 345,882
15 For Grants and Financial Assistance
16 for Arts Education ........................ 156,400
17 Total $1,548,632
18 Section 2. In addition to any sums already appropriated,
19 the sum of $500,000 is appropriated from the General Revenue
20 Fund to the State Comptroller for the purpose of providing a
21 grant to the Public Broadcast Station WTTW-TV in Chicago.
22 Section 99. Effective Date. This bill becomes effective
23 July 1, 1998.".
