Provides that, after an employee has been convicted of an offense involving a false, fraudulent, or partially fraudulent workers' compensation or worker's occupational diseases claim, an employer has standing before the Industrial Commission for the sole purpose of filing and seeking disposal of the claim. The Workers' Compensation Act is amended by 6 adding Section 18.5 as follows: 7 (820 ILCS 305/18.5 new) 8 Sec. 18.5. Insurance fraud; employer's standing to seek 9 disposal of claim. After an employee has been convicted of an 10 offense involving a false, fraudulent, or partially 11 fraudulent workers' compensation claim, an employer has 12 standing before the Industrial Commission for the sole 13 purpose of filing and seeking disposal of the claim. 14 Section 10.
