1 AN ACT to amend the Horse Racing Act of 1975 by changing
2 Section 15.1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 is
6 amended by changing Section 15.1 as follows:
7 (230 ILCS 5/15.1) (from Ch. 8, par. 37-15.1)
8 Sec. 15.1. Deposit of fees. Upon collection of the fee
9 accompanying the application for an occupation license, the
10 Board shall be authorized to make daily temporary deposits of
11 the fees, for a period not to exceed 7 days, with the
12 horsemen's bookkeeper at a race meeting. The horsemen's
13 bookkeeper shall issue a check, payable to the order of the
14 Illinois Racing Board, for monies deposited under this
15 Section within 24 hours of receipt of the monies. Provided
16 however, upon the issuance of the check by the horsemen's
17 bookkeeper the check shall be deposited in the State Treasury
18 in accordance with the provisions of the "State Officers and
19 Employees Money Disposition Act", approved June 9, 1911, as
20 amended.
