1 AN ACT to amend the Property Tax Code by changing Section
2 16-175.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing
6 Section 16-175 as follows:
7 (35 ILCS 200/16-175)
8 Sec. 16-175. Subpoenas. The Chairman of the Property
9 Tax Appeal Board or his or her designee may issue subpoenas.
10 A subpoena which shall be served by any person lawfully
11 authorized to serve a subpoena under the laws of the State of
12 Illinois. In case of disobedience to a subpoena, the Board
13 may petition any circuit court of the State for an order
14 requiring the attendance and testimony of witnesses.
15 Witnesses attending any hearing held by the Property Tax
16 Appeal Board, pursuant to any subpoena, shall be paid the
17 same fees and mileage that are paid witnesses in the circuit
18 courts of the State.
