Amend Senate Bill 1224, on page 5, 3 line 16 by replacing "any" with "and for other than medical 4 purposes, any"; and 5 on page 7, line 4, by replacing "any" with "and for other 6 than medical purposes, any"; and 7 on page 8, line 27 by replacing "any" with "and for other 8 than medical purposes, any"; and 9 on page 11, line 25, by deleting "emergency room personnel 10 or"; and 11 on page 11 by replacing lines 29 through 32 with the 12 following: 13 "medical treatment and preserving evidence. 14 (g) In a hospital, whenever any emergency room personnel 15 has reasonable cause to believe that a person has been 16 delivered a controlled substance without his or her consent, 17 personnel designated by the hospital, other than a physician 18 licensed to practice medicine in all of its branches, shall 19 provide:"; and 20 on page 12, by replacing lines 12 and 13 with the following: 21 "returns a signed written authorization within 48 hours after -2- LRB9007713RCsbam 1 the sample was collected. 2 Any medical treatment, care, or testing shall only be in 3 accordance with the order of a physician licensed to practice 4 medicine in all of its branches."; and 5 on page 12, line 30 by replacing "any" with "and for other 6 than medical purposes, any".
