Amend Senate Bill 1073 on page 2, by 3 replacing line 26 with the following: 4 "extend to any person for longer than 6 months, except as 5 follows: 6 (i) if the date on which a person can take the next 7 available examination authorized by the Department extends 8 beyond 6 months from the date the person completes the 9 occupational therapy program as required under Section 8 or 10 9, the Department shall extend the exemption until the 11 results of that examination become available to the 12 Department; or 13 (ii) if the Department is unable to complete its 14 evaluation and processing of a person's application for a 15 license within 6 months after the date on which the 16 application is submitted to the Department in proper form, 17 the Department shall extend the exemption until the 18 Department has completed its evaluation and processing of the 19 application.".
