Amends the State Finance Act. Makes a technical
correction in the Section concerning payment of certain
contracts entered into by the Department of Central
Management Services.

1 AN ACT to amend the State Finance Act by changing Section
2 36.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by changing
6 Section 36 as follows:
7 (30 ILCS 105/36) (from Ch. 127, par. 167.04)
8 Sec. 36. Contracts entered into by the Department of
9 Central Management Services under pursuant to Section 67.30
10 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois may provide for
11 payment to the vendor to be determined, wholly or partially,
12 on demonstrated savings in energy consumption. Payments for
13 such projects shall be paid by the agency or agencies that
14 benefit from the project. Funds which otherwise would have
15 been used to pay for utilities may be used to pay the costs
16 associated with the energy savings project contract.
