1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1000
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 1000 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Election Code by changing Section
5 2A-1.1a."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
9 Section 2A-1.1a as follows:
10 (10 ILCS 5/2A-1.1a) (from Ch. 46, par. 2A-1.1a)
11 Sec. 2A-1.1a. Consolidated election; Passover. Whenever
12 the date designated in paragraph (b) of Section 2A-1.1 for
13 the consolidated election conflicts with the celebration of
14 Passover, that election shall be postponed to the first
15 Tuesday following the last day of Passover.
