Provides that any contract entered into by an executive agency shall be signed by the Director of the Agency and at least 2 other agency administrative officials that have been approved to sign the contracts by the Department of Central Management Services if the contract requires an amount in excess of $250,000 to be expended. Effective immediately. LRB9003327DNsb LRB9003327DNsb 1 AN ACT concerning State contracts. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Illinois Purchasing Act is amended by 5 adding Section 7-3 as follows: 6 (30 ILCS 505/7-3 new) 7 Sec. 7-3. Signatures on contracts. Any contract entered 8 into by an executive agency shall be signed by the Director 9 of the Agency and at least 2 other administrative officials 10 of the agency that have been approved to sign the contracts 11 by the Department of Central Management Services if the 12 contract requires an amount in excess of $250,000 to be 13 expended. 14 Section 10. The State Paper Purchasing Act is amended by 15 adding Section 18 as follows: 16 (30 ILCS 510/18 new) 17 Sec. 18. Signatures on contracts. Any contract entered 18 into by an executive agency shall be signed by the Director 19 of the Agency and at least 2 other administrative officials 20 of the agency that have been approved to sign the contracts 21 by the Department of Central Management Services if the 22 contract requires an amount in excess of $250,000 to be 23 expended. 24 Section 15. The State Printing Contracts Act is amended 25 by adding Section 13.1 as follows: 26 (30 ILCS 515/13.1 new) 27 Sec. 13.1. Signatures on contracts. Any contract -2- LRB9003327DNsb 1 entered into by an executive agency shall be signed by the 2 Director of the Agency and at least 2 other administrative 3 officials of the agency that have been approved to sign the 4 contracts by the Department of Central Management Services if 5 the contract requires an amount in excess of $250,000 to be 6 expended. 7 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 8 becoming law.
