1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by changing Section
2 1-1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
6 Section 1-1 as follows:
7 (10 ILCS 5/1-1) (from Ch. 46, par. 1-1)
8 Sec. 1-1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
9 Election Code. This Act is the general election law of
10 Illinois and any reference in any other Act to "the general
11 election law" or "the general election law of this State" is
12 a reference to this Act, as now or hereafter amended.
