1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 716
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend Senate Bill 716 on page 3, by
3 inserting after line 18 the following:
4 "(iii) All functions and powers of the
5 Department of Labor and the Director under the
6 Minimum Wage Law shall be exercised in cooperation
7 with the functions and powers of the U.S. Department
8 of Labor under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938
9 (29 U.S.C. 201 et seq.). In the event Congress
10 enacts amendments to the Fair Labor Standards Act of
11 1938 allowing for compensatory time off in lieu of
12 an overtime premium, the federal statute shall
13 control in the case of any conflict between the
14 federal statute and the provisions of this Act.".
