The Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of 6 Marriage Act is amended by changing Section 217 as follows: 7 (750 ILCS 5/217) (from Ch. 40, par. 217) 8 Sec. 217. Marriage by Non-residents - When Void.) No 9 marriage shall be contracted in this state by a party 10 residing and intending to continue to reside in another state 11 or jurisdiction if thesuchmarriage would be void if 12 contracted in such other state or jurisdiction and every 13 marriage celebrated in this state in violation of this 14 provision shall be null and void. 15 (Source: P.A. 80-923.)
