Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code to provide that for
commercial fishing, the 15 inch catfish limitation does not
apply to catfish taken from the Ohio River.

1 AN ACT to amend the Fish and Aquatic Life Code by
2 changing Section 15-60.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Fish and Aquatic Life Code is amended by
6 changing Section 15-60 as follows:
7 (515 ILCS 5/15-60) (from Ch. 56, par. 15-60)
8 Sec. 15-60. Legal size; various species. When taken
9 from waters wholly or in part within the boundaries of the
10 State of Illinois, except from the Ohio River, the following
11 species shall be not less in size than provided in this
12 Section: channel catfish, flathead catfish, blue catfish, or
13 white catfish, 15 inches in length undressed or 12 inches in
14 length dressed.
