1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored to
3 recognize significant milestones in the lives of the people
4 of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Jennie Lewis
6 of Urbana is celebrating the 100th anniversary of her birth;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, Throughout the past 100 years, Jennie Lewis has
9 witnessed the coming of many wondrous inventions, historic
10 occasions, and changes in society, and her memories and
11 experiences create a legacy enjoyed by her family and
12 friends; therefore, be it
13 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15 congratulate Jennie Lewis on the occasion of her 100th
16 birthday and extend our sincere best wishes to her for the
17 future; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to her as an expression of our respect and esteem.
