1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate V.F.W. Post 9770 on
4 their fiftieth anniversary; and
5 WHEREAS, On March 25, 1948 V.F.W. Post 9770 was chartered
6 with 61 charter members; it was chartered as Brownstown
7 V.F.W. Post 9770; today there are 19 living members that will
8 be honored on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 1998; and
9 WHEREAS, Master of Ceremonies will be Mayor Jesse Miller;
10 Brownstown High School Band, under the direction of Mr. Brad
11 Kuchan, will play the National Anthem, "Grand Ole Flag", and
12 "Salute to America's Finest"; and a wreath will be laid at
13 the memorial wall; therefore, be it
14 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 congratulate V.F.W. Post 9770 on their fiftieth anniversary;
17 and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to V.F.W. Post 9770.
