1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Donald L. Gossett on
4 his retirement; and
5 WHEREAS, Dr. Donald L. Gossett is the Superintendent for
6 Libertyville Community High School District 128; and
7 WHEREAS, Dr, Gossett has served eighteen years as
8 Superintendent; he served one year as assistant
9 superintendent, two years as administrative assistant to the
10 superintendent, three years as assistant principal and
11 director of pupil personnel services, six years as dean of
12 students, and seven years as an English and speech teacher,
13 giving him thirty-seven years of educational experience; and
14 WHEREAS, Dr. Gossett has served in the following
15 capacities: as a member on the Educational Advisory Board to
16 the State Superintendent; as a participant in the Governor's
17 Conference on Education; as a member of the Board of
18 Directors for the Illinois Association for School
19 Administrators; on the Executive Board of the Special
20 Education District of Lake County; on the Board of Directors
21 for the Lake County Area Vocational School; on the Advisory
22 Committee for the Lake County Educational Service Center; as
23 President of the North Suburban Superintendent's Association;
24 as an Advisory Committee Member to the Dean of Education
25 Department of Loyola University; as President of the Illinois
26 Association of School Administrators; as a member of the
27 Ikenberry Commission; and on the Executive Committee of the
28 American Association of School Administrators; therefore, be
29 it
30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
31 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
32 congratulate Dr. Donald L. Gossett on his retirement; we

1 thank him for his dedication to the educational needs of the
2 young people of this State; we wish him continued success in
3 his future; and be it further
4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to Dr. Donald L. Gossett, with our warmest regards.
