1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Margie Purdy of Quincy on Friday, March
4 27, 1998; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on July 2, 1931 in Quincy, the
6 daughter of Gerald and Elsie Hammond Kaiser; she was a 1949
7 graduate of Quincy High School; and
8 WHEREAS, She was currently working for Senator Laura Kent
9 Donahue and Representative Art Tenhouse; and
10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Purdy was a member of St. Peter Catholic
11 Church; she was active in the Adams County Women's Republican
12 Club and was very active in Republican politics; and
13 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family
14 and friends, especially her husband, John; a daughter, Cindy
15 Ebbing; two grandchildren, Robyn and Kristin Ebbing; and two
16 brothers, Mick and Jim Kaiser; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 note with sorrow and regret the death of Mrs. Margie Purdy
20 and extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends;
21 and be it further
22 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
23 presented to her husband, John Purdy.
