1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Ifaat Arbel
3 has been selected by CityPAC to receive the 1998 Henry
4 Jackson Pro-Israel Advocacy Award; and
5 WHEREAS, Ms. Arbel is being honored for her lifelong
6 commitment to Israel and Jewish causes as well as her
7 critical role in CityPAC's growth and development as a major
8 voice in the pro-Israel community; and
9 WHEREAS, Ms. Arbel has held a number of officer and board
10 positions within CityPAC as well as being active with the
11 American Friends of the Hebrew University, the Jewish
12 National Fund, the Jewish United Fund, and the Nitzanim
13 Israeli Dance Troupe; and
14 WHEREAS, Ms. Arbel has not only served CityPAC, but can
15 also claim responsibility for introducing hundreds of young
16 professionals in the Chicagoland area to CityPAC; therefore,
17 be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 wish to congratulate Ifaat Arbel on being honored by CityPAC
21 with the 1998 Henry Jackson Pro-Israel Advocacy Award and to
22 extend to her our heartiest best wishes for the future; and
23 be it further
24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
25 presented to Ifaat Arbel.
