1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body were saddened to learn
3 of the death of Mrs. Helen K. Fox of West Chicago on
4 Thursday, January 1; and
5 WHEREAS, She was born on July 24, 1908 in West Chicago,
6 the daughter of James and Hanna Lynch; and
7 WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Mary's Church, a member
8 of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 432, and a former
9 member of the West Chicago Garden Club; and
10 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Fox purchased a building for a
11 dollar and turned it into a Community Center, among the other
12 beneficiaries of Mr. and Mrs. Fox were the West Chicago City
13 Museum, the Conservation Foundation, the West Chicago Rotary
14 Club, the West Chicago Lions, the West Chicago Public
15 Library, Moms in School, the Leadership Institute, the Widows
16 of Slain Policemen, the city's parks, and the West Chicago
17 Community High School; and
18 WHEREAS, Her passing is deeply felt by her family and
19 friends, especially her husband, Wayne; her son, David; two
20 granddaughters, Susan McGuire and Katherine Lanham; two
21 grandsons, David and Thomas; six great-grandchildren; a
22 brother, Thomas; and a sister, Mea Reuland; therefore, be it
23 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
24 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
25 express our deepest condolences to the family and the
26 friends; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to her husband, Mr. Wayne Fox.
