1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Carpenters Local No. 44 of the United
3 Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America will
4 celebrate 100 years of Union Carpenters in Champaign,
5 Illinois, with a dinner-dance on September 13, 1997; and
6 WHEREAS, Members will be presented pins for service
7 ranging from 25 to 65 years of membership; and
8 WHEREAS, Carpenters Local No. 44 serves Champaign County,
9 the southern portion of Ford County, the northern portion of
10 Douglas County, and the north half of Piatt County; and
11 WHEREAS, Its officers are Jack W. Peterson, President;
12 Gerald R. Sharp, Vice President; Sandra L. Manuel, Recording
13 Secretary; Michael E. Dummitt, Financial Secretary; Vernon L.
14 May, Treasurer; David A. Mueller, Conductor; Darrell L.
15 Holzhausen, Warden; Robert Long, Trustee; Sonny N. Florey,
16 Trustee; Andre C. Jones, Trustee; and Michael E. Dummitt,
17 Business Representative; therefore, be it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 congratulate the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners
21 of America on 100 years of existence in Champaign and wish
22 them well in the future years; and be it further
23 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
24 presented to President Jack W. Peterson on behalf of all the
25 members of Carpenters Local No. 44 with our best wishes.
