1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The Chicago Association of Law Libraries has
3 supported the Chicago legal community since March 20, 1947;
4 and
5 WHEREAS, The Chicago Association of Law Libraries is
6 celebrating its 50th anniversary in 1997; and
7 WHEREAS, For 50 years, members of the Chicago Association
8 of Law Libraries have dedicated themselves to providing legal
9 information to judges, attorneys, students, and members of
10 the public; and
11 WHEREAS, For 50 years, the Chicago Association of Law
12 Libraries has been an example of cooperative sharing among
13 its members; and
14 WHEREAS, The Chicago Association of Law Libraries has
15 encouraged continuing education by presenting educational
16 opportunities to its members during its 50 year history; and
17 WHEREAS, Since 1947, members of the Chicago Association
18 of Law Libraries have been at the forefront of embracing
19 technology to improve the delivery of information to their
20 patrons; therefore, be it
21 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
22 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
23 congratulate the Chicago Association of Law Libraries for its
24 50 years of service to the Chicago legal community and take
25 great pleasure in the hope that it will continue its service
26 for many years to come; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to the Chicago Association of Law Libraries as an
29 expression of our appreciation for its 50 years of dedicated
30 service.
