90_HJ0072 LRB9013610THmb 1 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The Youth-At-Risk Commission was created by 3 House Joint Resolution No. 53 of the Ninetieth General 4 Assembly to study and make findings and recommendations 5 concerning the complicated issues that surround truant, 6 at-risk, out-of-school, disruptive, and delinquent youth; and 7 WHEREAS, The Commission was to file its written report 8 and be dissolved on December 31, 1998; and 9 WHEREAS, The Commission has determined that it will 10 require additional time in order to carry out its 11 responsibilities as specified in House Joint Resolution No. 12 53; therefore, be it 13 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 14 NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE 15 SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the existence of the 16 Youth-At-Risk Commission and the terms of its members be 17 extended until December 31, 1999 in order to provide the 18 Commission with sufficient time to carry out its 19 responsibilities as specified in House Joint Resolution No. 20 53; and be it further 21 RESOLVED, That the Youth-At-Risk Commission shall file 22 with the Governor and the General Assembly, on or before 23 December 31, 1999, a written report of its findings, 24 recommendations, and proposed legislation concerning truant, 25 at-risk, out-of-school, disruptive, and delinquent youth; and 26 that upon filing its report the Commission is dissolved.
