1 AN ACT to amend the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting
2 Act by changing Section 2.1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act
6 is amended by changing Section 2.1 as follows:
7 (325 ILCS 5/2.1) (from Ch. 23, par. 2052.1)
8 Sec. 2.1. Any person or family seeking assistance in
9 meeting child care responsibilities may use the services and
10 facilities established by this Act which may assist in
11 meeting such responsibilities. Whether or not the problem
12 presented constitutes child abuse or neglect, such persons or
13 families shall be referred to appropriate resources or
14 agencies. No person seeking assistance under this Section
15 shall be required to give his or her name or any other
16 identifying information.
