The Juvenile Court Act of 1987 is amended by 6 changing Section 1-4.1 as follows: 7 (705 ILCS 405/1-4.1) (from Ch. 37, par. 801-4.1) 8 Sec. 1-4.1. Incarceration of minors. Except for minors 9 accused of violation of an order of the court, any minor 10 accused of any act under federal or State law, or a municipal 11 ordinance that would not be illegal if committed by an adult, 12 cannot be placed in a jail, municipal lockup, detention 13 center or secure correctional facility. Confinement in a 14 county jail of a minor accused of a violation of an order of 15 the court, or of a minor for whom there is reasonable cause 16 to believe that the minor is a person described in Section 17 5-3, shall be in accordance with the restrictions set forth 18 in Sections 5-7 and 5-10 of this Act. 19 (Source: P.A. 89-656, eff. 1-1-97.)
