1 AN ACT to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 by
2 changing Section 106-1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is
6 amended by changing Section 106-1 as follows:
7 (725 ILCS 5/106-1) (from Ch. 38, par. 106-1)
8 Sec. 106-1. Granting of immunity.) In any investigation
9 before a Grand Jury, or trial in any court, the court on
10 motion of the State may order that any material witness be
11 released from all liability to be prosecuted or punished on
12 account of any testimony or other evidence he or she may be
13 required to produce.
