The initial candidate list 14 required to be submitted by a local school council to the 15 general superintendent in cases where the local school 16 council does not renew the performance contract of its 17 principal and does not directly select a new principal to 18 serve under a 4 year performance contract shall be submitted 19 not later than May 1 of the calendar year in which such 20 performance contract expires.
