change in a Section concerning qualifications of the
executive director.

1 AN ACT to amend the Citizens Utility Board Act by
2 changing Section 7.2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Citizens Utility Board Act is amended by
6 changing Section 7.2 as follows:
7 (220 ILCS 10/7.2) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 907.2)
8 Sec. 7.2. Executive director: qualifications;
9 appointment. (1) The executive director hired by the board
10 under Section 7 shall have the same qualifications as a
11 director under Section 12, except that the executive director
12 does need not have to be a resident of this State nor a
13 member of the corporation. The executive director may not be
14 a candidate for director while serving as executive director.
15 (2) To hire the executive director under Section 7, the
16 board shall adhere to any applicable State or federal law
17 prohibiting discrimination in employment.
18 (3) The board shall require all applicants for the
19 position of executive director of the corporation to file a
20 financial statement which includes the information required
21 under subsection (4) of Section 12. The board shall require
22 the executive director to file a current statement annually.
