1 AN ACT to amend the Livestock Management Facilities Act
2 by changing Section 10.30.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Livestock Management Facilities Act is
6 amended by changing Section 10.30 as follows:
7 (510 ILCS 77/10.30)
8 Sec. 10.30. Livestock management facility. "Livestock
9 management facility" means any animal feeding operation,
10 livestock shelter, or on-farm milking and accompanying
11 milk-handling area. Two or more livestock management
12 facilities under common ownership, where the facilities are
13 not separated by a minimum distance of one-quarter 1/4 mile,
14 and that share a common livestock waste handling facility
15 shall be considered a single livestock management facility.
16 A livestock management facility at educational institutions,
17 livestock pasture operations, where animals are housed on a
18 temporary basis such as county and state fairs, livestock
19 shows, race tracks, and horse breeding and foaling farms, and
20 market holding facilities are not subject to this Act.
