Amend House Bill 3030, AS AMENDED, 3 in Section 5, Sec. 5-1, subsection (e), by replacing the 4 sentence that begins "An applicant" with the following: 5 "An applicant for a special event retailer license must (i) 6 show proof satisfactory to the State Commission that the 7 applicant is either (A) a retailer registered under Section 8 2a of the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act or a reseller who 9 possesses a resale number issued under Section 2c of the 10 Retailers' Occupation Tax Act or (B) an entity that holds a 11 current, valid exemption identification number issued by the 12 Department of Revenue under Section 1g of the Retailers' 13 Occupation Tax Act and certifies to the Commission that the 14 purchase of alcoholic liquors will be a tax-exempt purchase; 15 (ii)alsosubmit with the application proof satisfactory to 16 the State Commission that the applicant will provide dram 17 shop liability insurance in the maximum limits; and (iii) 18 show proof satisfactory to the State Commission that the 19 applicant has obtainedhavelocal authority approval.".
