Provides that the scholarship entitles a student to 8 semesters or 12 quarters of tuition and mandatory fees at an institution of higher learning in this State. The Higher Education Student Assistance Act 6 is amended by adding Section 65.65 as follows: 7 (110 ILCS 947/65.65 new) 8 Sec. 65.65. Students with low IGAP scores; scholarship 9 program. The Commission shall establish a scholarship 10 program for students whose Illinois Goals and Assessment 11 Program scores are below State standards. The scholarship 12 shall entitle a student to 8 semesters or 12 quarters of full 13 payment of tuition and mandatory fees at any State-supported 14 Illinois institution of higher learning for either full or 15 part-time study or 8 semesters or 12 quarters of payment of 16 tuition and mandatory fees at the rate established by the 17 Commission for private institutions in the State of Illinois.
