1 AN ACT to amend the Pawnbroker Regulation Act by changing
2 Section 1.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 1. The Pawnbroker Regulation Act is amended by
6 changing Section 1 as follows:
7 (205 ILCS 510/1) (from Ch. 17, par. 4651)
8 Sec. 1. Pawnbroker defined. Every person or company
9 engaged in the business of receiving property in pledge or as
10 security for money or other thing advanced to the pawner or
11 pledger, shall be held and is hereby declared and defined to
12 be a pawnbroker.
