305 ILCS 5/9A-9.5 new
Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that, if
the education, training, and employment program for Temporary
Assistance for Needy Families recipients is administered by
an entity which also administers an Earnfare program, that
entity may place Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
participants in work positions that are also available to
Earnfare program participants. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Public Aid Code by adding
2 Section 9A-9.5.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
6 adding Section 9A-9.5 as follows:
7 (305 ILCS 5/9A-9.5 new)
8 Sec. 9A-9.5. Earnfare administrators. If the education,
9 training, and employment program for Temporary Assistance for
10 Needy Families recipients established in Article IXA is
11 administered by an entity which also administers an Earnfare
12 program, that entity may place the Temporary Assistance for
13 Needy Families participants in work positions that are also
14 available to Earnfare program participants.
15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
