1 AN ACT to amend the Discrimination in Sale of Real Estate
2 Act by changing Section 2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Discrimination in Sale of Real Estate Act
6 is amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
7 (720 ILCS 590/2) (from Ch. 38, par. 70-52)
8 Sec. 2. Sentence.
9 (a) Any person who violates any provision of this Act
10 commits a Class A misdemeanor, provided that the such person
11 has not been convicted of any prior offense under the terms
12 of this Act.
13 (b) Any person who violates any provision of this Act
14 after having been previously convicted of an offense under
15 this Section, commits a Class 4 felony.
