1 AN ACT concerning purchases.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Purchasing Act is amended by
5 changing Section 2 as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 505/2) (from Ch. 127, par. 132.2)
7 Sec. 2. Policy.
8 It is the purpose of this Act and is hereby declared to
9 be the policy of the State that the principle of competitive
10 bidding and economical procurement practices shall be
11 applicable to all purchases and contracts by or for any State
12 Agency.
