The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by 6 adding Section 33-4 as follows: 7 (720 ILCS 5/33-4 new) 8 Sec. 33-4. Peace officer or correctional officer; 9 gang-related activity prohibited. 10 (a) It is unlawful for a peace officer or correctional 11 officer to knowingly commit any act in furtherance of 12 gang-related activities, except when acting in furtherance of 13 an undercover law enforcement investigation. 14 (b) In this Section, "gang-related" has the meaning 15 ascribed to it in Section 10 of the Illinois Streetgang 16 Terrorism Omnibus Prevention Act. 17 (c) Sentence. A violation of this Section is a Class 3 18 felony.
