10 ILCS 5/9-25.2 new
Amends the Election Code. Provides that no person,
corporation, organization, or entity that derives income
directly from the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority or
the Department of Transportation shall make a contribution to
a member of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority Board
of Directors, executive staff, advisory committee, or any
person holding an official position with the Illinois State
Toll Highway Authority. Provides that a wilful violation is
a Class B misdemeanor.

1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by adding Section
2 9-25.2.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding
6 Section 9-25.2 as follows:
7 (10 ILCS 5/9-25.2 new)
8 Sec. 9-25.2. Prohibited contributions; Illinois State
9 Toll Highway Authority. No person, corporation,
10 organization, or entity that derives income directly from the
11 Illinois State Toll Highway Authority or the Department of
12 Transportation shall make a contribution, including but not
13 limited to cash, in-kind goods or services, or gifts of
14 monetary value, to a campaign fund or political committee
15 benefiting or supporting a member of the Illinois State Toll
16 Highway Authority Board of Directors, executive staff,
17 advisory committee, or any person holding an official
18 position with the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. No
19 member of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority Board of
20 Directors, executive staff, advisory committee, or family
21 member of any of those individuals, and no officer of a
22 campaign fund or political committee benefiting or supporting
23 any of those individuals or family members, shall knowingly
24 accept a contribution, including but not limited to cash,
25 in-kind goods or services, or gifts of monetary value, from a
26 person, corporation, organization, or entity that derives
27 income directly from the Illinois State Toll Highway
28 Authority or the Department of Transportation.
29 A wilful violation of this Section is a Class B
30 misdemeanor.
