Appropriates $500,000 to DCCA for a grant to the Canal
Corridor Association for all costs associated with promoting
knowledge of and tourism at the Illinois and Michigan Canal.

1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. In addition to any other amounts, the amount
5 of $500,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary,
6 is appropriated to the Department of Commerce and Community
7 Affairs for a grant to the Canal Corridor Association for all
8 costs associated with promoting knowledge of and tourism at
9 the Illinois and Michigan Canal.
10 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
11 July 1, 1997.
