Makes appropriations or reappropriations or both to the
Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority for fiscal year
1998. Effective July 1, 1997.

1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. The sum of $4,800,000, or so much thereof as
5 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Metropolitan Fair
6 and Exposition Authority Reconstruction Fund to the
7 Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority for its corporate
8 purposes.
9 Section 2. The sum of $32,150,000, or so much thereof as
10 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Metropolitan Fair
11 and Exposition Authority Improvement Bond Fund to the
12 Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority for debt service
13 on the Authority's Dedicated State Tax Revenue Bonds, issued
14 pursuant to the "Metropolitan Fair and Exposition Authority
15 Act", as amended.
16 Section 3. The sum of $66,550,000, or so much thereof as
17 may be necessary, is appropriated from the McCormick Place
18 Expansion Project Fund to the Metropolitan Pier and
19 Exposition Authority for debt service on the Authority's
20 McCormick Place Expansion Project Bonds, issued pursuant to
21 the "Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act", as
22 amended.
23 Section 999. Effective date. This Act becomes effective
24 on July 1, 1997.
