1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1735
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1735 on page 13, by
3 replacing lines 30 and 31 with "or more years;"; and
4 on page 13, line 34 by deleting "and"; and
5 on page 14, by replacing line 3 and 4 with the following:
6 "the release of hazardous substances; and
7 (4) "hazardous substances" means the same as in
8 Section 3.14 of the Environmental Protection Act."; and
9 on page 14, by replacing lines 9 through 15 with the
10 following:
11 "(ii) for an order authorizing the"; and
12 on page 14, line 16, by deleting "immediate"; and
13 on page 14, by replacing lines 17 through 19 with the
14 following:
15 "to remediation of the property if conditions on the
16 property, based on the inspection and testing authorized in
17 paragraph (i), indicate the presence of hazardous substances.
18 Remediation shall be deemed"; and
19 on page 14, line 20, by replacing "(iii)" with "(ii)"; and

6 on page 17, line 23, by replacing "but not limited to
7 complying" with "compliance"; and
8 on page 17, by deleting lines 28 through 32; and
9 on page 18, by deleting line 1.
