20 ILCS 3405/20 new
Amends the Historic Preservation Agency Act. Requires
the Historic Preservation Agency to conduct a study to
determine the feasibility of acquiring any land owned or
previously owned by Parks College of St. Louis University in
Cahokia, Illinois and turning the site into a State park,
and, if the Agency determines that it would be feasible and
in the best interest of the State to acquire any land owned
or previously owned by Parks College of St. Louis University,
then to make every effort to acquire the land.

1 AN ACT to amend the Historic Preservation Agency Act by
2 adding Section 20.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Historic Preservation Agency Act is
6 amended by adding Section 20 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 3405/20 new)
8 Sec. 20. Parks College. The Agency shall conduct a
9 study to determine the feasibility of acquiring any land
10 owned or previously owned by Parks College of St. Louis
11 University in Cahokia, Illinois and turning the site into a
12 State historic site. If the Agency determines that it would
13 be feasible and in the best interest of the State to acquire
14 any land owned or previously owned by Parks College of St.
15 Louis University, then the Agency shall make every effort to
16 acquire the land.
