The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business 6 Practices Act is amended by changing Section 2 as follows: 7 (815 ILCS 505/2) (from Ch. 121 1/2, par. 262) 8 Sec. 2. Unfair methods of competition and unfair or 9 deceptive acts or practices, including but not limited to the 10 use or employment of any deception fraud, false pretense, 11 false promise, misrepresentation or the concealment, 12 suppression or omission of any material fact, with intent 13 that others rely upon the concealment, suppression or 14 omission of thesuchmaterial fact, or the use or employment 15 of any practice described in Section 2 of the "Uniform 16 Deceptive Trade Practices Act", approved August 5, 1965, in 17 the conduct of any trade or commerce are hereby declared 18 unlawful whether any person has in fact been misled, deceived 19 or damaged thereby. In construing this section consideration 20 shall be given to the interpretations of the Federal Trade 21 Commission and the federal courts relating to Section 5 (a) 22 of the Federal Trade Commission Act. 23 (Source: P.A. 78-904.)
