1 AN ACT to amend the Department of Human Services Act by
2 changing Section 10-5.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Department of Human Services Act is
6 amended by changing Section 10-5 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 1305/10-5)

10 Sec. 10-5. Infant mortality reduction; special
11 population groups. The Department shall include within its
12 infant mortality reduction programs and materials information
13 directed toward Hispanics, people of African descent, and
14 other population groups residing in areas that which
15 experience high rates of infant mortality. The information
16 shall inform these groups about the causes of infant
17 mortality and the steps which may be taken to reduce the risk
18 of early infant death.
