1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1227
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1227 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Illinois Act on the Aging by adding
5 Section 4.07."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
9 adding Section 4.07 as follows:
10 (20 ILCS 105/4.07 new)
11 Sec. 4.07. Home delivered meal service. Every citizen
12 of the State of Illinois who qualifies for home delivered
13 meals under the federal Older Americans Act is entitled to
14 those services as a matter of State law subject to
15 appropriation. The Department shall file with the General
16 Assembly and provide to the Illinois Council on Aging by
17 January 1 of each year estimates of additional funds needed
18 to permit full funding of the program and statewide provision
19 of services in the next fiscal year.".
