1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1087
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 1087 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Illinois Lottery Law by adding
5 Section 7.12."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Illinois Lottery Law is amended by
9 adding Section 7.12 as follows:
10 (20 ILCS 1605/7.12 new)
11 Sec. 7.12. Report concerning prohibition against sale to
12 minors. The Department shall report to the Speaker of the
13 House, the President of the Senate, and the minority leaders
14 of both houses by January 1, 1998 regarding current
15 enforcement of prohibitions against the sale of lottery
16 tickets to minors. The report shall include the Department's
17 recommendations concerning strengthening the enforcement of
18 the prohibition, particularly as it applies to the sale of
19 lottery tickets from machines.".
