Amends the Illinois Municipal Code by authorizing the
corporate authorities of each municipality to include in
their charges to public utility companies a fee based on the
market value of the property the utility is using.

1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Municipal Code by adding
2 Section 11-80-14.3.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by
6 adding Section 11-80-14.3 as follows:
7 (65 ILCS 5/11-80-14.3 new)
8 Sec. 11-80-14.3. Charge to public utility company. The
9 corporate authorities of each municipality may include in
10 their charges to public utility companies a fee based on the
11 market value of the property the utility is using.
