The Respite Program Act is amended by 6 changing Section 8 as follows: 7 (320 ILCS 10/8) (from Ch. 23, par. 6208) 8 Sec. 8. Funding. Respite projects authorized under this 9 Act shall be funded only to the extent of available 10 appropriations for such purposes. The Director mayshall11 seek and obtain federal funds that may be available to 12 finance grants awarded under Section 6 of this Act, and may 13shallalso seek and obtain other non-state resources for 14 which the State may be eligible.Implementation of projects15under this Act shall be contingent upon the availability of16federal financial participation.To the extent necessary for 17 implementation of this Act, the Department shall seek 18 appropriate waivers of federal requirements from the U.S. 19 Department of Health and Human Services. 20 (Source: P.A. 87-974.)
