1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 857
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 857 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT to amend the Bi-State Development Agency Act by
5 adding Section 9."; and
6 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
7 following:
8 "Section 5. The Bi-State Development Agency Act is
9 amended by adding Section 9 as follows:
10 (45 ILCS 105/9 new)
11 Sec. 9. Conference by communications equipment. The
12 commissioners of the Bi-State Development Agency may
13 participate in a committee or board meeting by conference
14 telephone or other communication equipment if all persons
15 attending the meeting, including the general public, can hear
16 and communicate with the commissioners when appropriate.
17 Participation in a committee or board meeting in this manner
18 by a commissioner shall constitute presence in person at the
19 meeting.".
