1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 748
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 748 on page 2, by
3 replacing lines 15 through 21 with the following:
4 "(b) No county, city, village, incorporated town, or
5 other municipal corporation, including a home rule unit, may
6 impose a tax or license fee under Section 8-11-4 of the
7 Illinois Municipal Code, or impose a similar tax or license
8 fee under home rule powers, upon any commercial vehicle as
9 defined in paragraph (2) of Section 18b-101 that is
10 registered under Section 3-402.1. This subsection (b) is a
11 denial and limitation of home rule powers and functions under
12 subsection (g) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois
13 Constitution.".
