The Counties Code is amended by adding Section 6 5-1071.2 as follows: 7 (55 ILCS 5/5-1071.2 new) 8 Sec. 5-1071.2. Barking dogs. Except for farm animals or 9 animals kept at a commercial dog kennel, counties with a 10 population over 750,000 but less than 3,000,000 may regulate 11 barking dogs and other animals that disturb anyone with 12 noise. A county may impose a fine or penalty of not less than 13 $25 nor more than $200 to enforce an ordinance or resolution 14 enacted under this Section.
