1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 470
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 470 on page 2, by
3 replacing lines 28 through 34 with the following:
4 "Except as provided in subsection (C) of Section 10, this
5 Section shall not limit the burning of landscape waste upon
6 the premises where it is produced or at sites provided and
7 supervised by any unit of local government, except within any
8 county having a population of more than 400,000. Nothing in
9 this Section shall prohibit the burning of landscape waste
10 for agricultural purposes, habitat management (including but
11 not limited to forest and prairie reclamation), or
12 firefighter training. For the purposes of this Act, the
13 burning of landscape waste by production nurseries shall be
14 considered to be burning for agricultural purposes."; and
15 on page 3, by deleting lines 1 through 4; and
16 on page 5, in line 19, by replacing "September" with
17 "December"; and
18 on page 5, in line 31, by replacing "prohibiting" with
19 "relating to"; and
20 on page 6, by replacing line 23 with "relating to the open
21 burning of landscape waste and those ordinances or
22 regulations remain in effect".
